Dollar store trash can makeover

What do you do when you're working on a $100 bathroom makeover and you want a dollar store trash can that doesn't look like a dollar store trash can? You buy a $1 trashcan and you cover it in leftover rope...at least that's what I did.



I had a huge spool of rope left over from my pallet board bathroom hanging shelf project.  I used a glue gun and started wrapping it around the trashcan gluing every few inches.

Before I knew it I had a much cute waste basket...and it only cost me a buck.

I think it even sort of looks Pottery Barn-ish.  Right?!

I can guarantee you these PB versions don't cost anywhere near $1....
