Bead board sign with wood letters

I wanted to make something to decorate (what we hope will one day be a baby's room!)  This LOVE sign is a popular project right now on Pinterest and it inspired me, too. 

It's seriously simple....check this out. 

I went to Home Depot and got a piece of beadboard cut to size. Then, I painted it green with paint I already had. The large wood letters I picked up at the craft store.  They came white and I left them like that...but you could easily spray paint them another color (like Melissa did for playroom decor).  

Then, using a hot glue gun, I glued the letters onto the bead board. 

Once I got it up on the wall, I thought it needed a little something else, so I grabbed some gold ribbon we had and framed it and added a bow.
